Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Once you've received your PDF files, thoroughly checked over them and agreed you're happy for me to print your stationery I allow up to 14 days especially in peak times from agreement to you receiving your final stationery package. If you need your stationery sooner then please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements.
What's the difference between personalised wedding designs and bespoke / custom wedding designs?
Personalised wedding designs are purchased from my 'House Collections.' If you find a collection that I have already designed that fits your wedding perfectly then this is a great option for you.
Bespoke / Custom designs are curated specifically to your requirements. This is totally unique to you and your wedding. We will discuss your requirements, what it is exactly you want (if you know) and if you're not entirely sure we can delve deeper and I will chat about your wedding, what's special to you as a couple and how I can help you decide on a design that is totally what you're after.
How far in advance should I contact you about bespoke work?
I only take on a limited amount of bespoke designs due to the timescales so please contact me as soon as possible to discuss your requirements.
When should I start thinking about ordering my wedding stationery?
I would say as soon as you have a date and venue set then start ordering your wedding stationery.
Save the Dates - 1 year before the big day
After sending your Save the Dates start thinking about what you would like to include in your invitation package. Do you have a menu choice? Do your guests need to know about the venue location, accommodation, carriages etc. The finer details like belly bands, ties, stamps, foiling - would you like to have your stationery sent out in a lovely package? And what papers you would like to use?
Wedding invitations - 6 months before (ideally)
On the Day Stationery - 3 months before
Finalise your guest list and start making decisions for what you would like for your day stationery. Table plans, menus, place cards, table numbers, order of service (the list goes on!). This stuff really brings the day together. I ship all day stationery 2 weeks latest before the big day so you have everything in plenty of time (unless last minute changes occur!) but we would have to chat about your requirements/ timescales and re-printing if this is necessary.
Up to 3 months after your wedding - Thank you cards (remember you need to thank all the lovely guests for their presence at your wedding and any lovely gifts they may have bought you.
Will I see proofs before my designs are printed?
Absolutely. All proofs are sent via pdf format for you to check over. Some of my services such as custom designs include a hard copy being sent in the post before printing.
How many of each item will I need?
This is really up to you, however I would advise for couples and families that live together one invitation suite is fine. For on the day stationery place cards & menus (depending on menu choices) one per guest. Order of service - one per guest or one between two (minimum).
Can I adapt a pre-designed wedding collection?
Yes you can, this will be at a fee depending the amount of work that needs to be done.
What papers do you use?
I have a selected a handful of beautiful papers I am happy to print onto. Some specifically for a design. My aim is for the artwork to really shine so I can advise which paper to go ahead with at the beginning of the process.
What envelopes do you use?
I have a selection of envelopes available. Most of my collections automatically come with peel and seal. We can discuss this further once you have placed your order.
Do you sell sample packs?
Yes I do! Unfortunately these wont be personalised to your details but you can see the colours/ layout etc. before making your decision.
I don't live in the UK, do you ship worldwide?
That's no problem at all, I ship internationally.
